
EARLY INTERVENTION CLINIC (EIC) - Our Clinic is tailored to patient comfort and thus the need to minimize patient movement to access different services. The Early Intervention Clinic (EIC) is a one-stop center able to meet client’s needs in clinical, laboratory, x-ray and ultrasound services. Apart from outpatient’s services, EIC is an accredited antiretroviral therapy center in Uganda. As ART center, the clinic provides ARVs and TB medicine. Our HIV clients receive subsidized medical treatment. The Clinic is projected to cover up to fifty patient visits a day, 5 days a week making it 12,500 patients visits a year at full capacity. It is projected that each patient will spend an average USD1065/year. This will cater for outpatient consultation, labs, medications and radiological services.
12,500 encounters are approximately equal to 3,125 patients per year. Each patient is expected to have 4 encounters each year. Each patient will be expected to pay USD 5 at each encounter. This will raise USD 62,500 each year.
The total cost per year for all the patients will be USD 3,328,125. - Less patient contribution USD 3,265,625 (USD 429 per individual per year)
With Government providing ARV's at no charge:
- The total cost per year for all patients will be USD 1,340,625
- Less patient contribution USD 1,278,125 (USD 1,065 per individual per year)

In-Patient Costs
The in patient cost will have a separate budget. We estimate we will have an average of 3 patient admissions per day for 250 days in a year. Which will bring the total admissions in a year to 750.
The projected cost of each admission will be USD 500. The total cost of admission per year will be USD 375,000, based on the monthly cost of USD 31,250.
