Contact SAS Foundation to help in the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS in the Republic of Uganda


The SAS Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization, established in 1999 and incorporated in the state of Texas. The SAS Foundation is governed by a three member board of directors. The directors are as follows:

SAS Foundation (USA)

 

Paul Mark Allison, M.D., MBA

Board certified and has licenses in the states of Texas and Indiana . Dr. Allison has specialty board certifications with the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. Dr. Allison graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and holds a MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake . Dr. Allison is employed at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.

 

 

Robert Muhumuza, M.D., MBA

Board certified gastroenterologist working as a clinical instructor at LSU and concurrently runs a private practice. Graduated from Baylor College of Medicine and holds a MBA from the University of Houston . He is the founder of the SAS Foundation.

 

 

 

Professor David Graham

Head of the Department of Gsatroenterology, Baylor College of Medicine, for over 10 years. He is a distinguished award winning researcher and teacher. He has written chapters in several books and has been responsible for the growth of the department to its current level of prominence.

 

 


The SAS Foundation is linked to SAS Non-Governmental Organization in Uganda, Africa. The Africa and America connection is a proposed global partnership. This partnership will aid in strengthening organizations through capacity building and services.

The SAS Non-Governmental Organization was established in January 2004. The non-governmental organization is ran by a 10-member board of directors. The Board of Directors is as follows:

Mrs. Penninah Kasule

A graduate of Makerere University Law School and holds an international Chartered Secretarial Accountant certificate from the UK . She is currently Company Secretary for Centinary Bank. Prior to her current appointment she worked as Company Secretary for United Assurance Company for over eight years.

 

 

 

Moses Balabyeki, MD

An Endoscopic and Specialist Surgeon at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Is a member of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Society of South Africa. Has over fourteen years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience.

 

 

 

Mrs. Beatrice Byenkya

She is an Honorable Member of Parliament of the Republic of Uganda since 1996. Prior to that she served as a news editor Uganda Television. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences and a Masters in Public Administration.

 

 

 

Grace Kaisa, MD

She is a family practitioner in Kampala since 1998. Trained at the University of Rochester, New York and is certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. She is currently Director of Medical Services SAS Clinic Uganda .

Rev. Can. Twinamaani

Episcopal Priest serving at St. Mary's church Tampa Florida . Graduated from Bishop Tucker Theological College Mukono, Uganda and holds a Masters Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.

 

 

 

Mrs. Jennifer Musisi

A graduate of Makerere University Law School . She is currently the Legal Secretary Uganda Revenue Authority. Prior to her current appointment she worked in the legal department Makerere University .

 

 

 

Mr. Francis Rwego

He worked with Uganda Electricity Board for over 30 years. While in this organization he served upward to the level of a Deputy Customer Services Manger. Presently he is serving in Kampala City Council as a Minister for Finance and Economic Development. He has served as a board member in various organizations. He is respected as a reliable and proved community leader.

 

 

 

Leonard Rwego

He worked in Uganda Electricity Board as a project administrative/accounts' assistant for 6 years. He has also served in the church as a youth leader. He is presently serving as the Project Coordinator - SAS Foundation (U) Limited. He is a reliable and respected leader who provides consultancy in Leadership and Management and has groomed many. He is also a book writer; who he has authored and written three books. He is serving as a board member for a some Christian Organizations and Churches.

 

 

Dr. Sam Nahamya

He has a wealth of experience. He is an economist. He served as the General Secretary of the East African Union. He is presently serving as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Industry. He has served as a board member in a number of organizations. He is recognized as an advisor especially in issues to do with the economies and other related issues.
