SAS FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING DINNER 2007
INTRODUCTION
SAS Foundation, a non profit arm of SAS Projects held its first Public ceremony which was geared at selling the Foundation to the Ugandan community most especially the Corporate and Business sectors. The event was held on the 19th October 2007 in the Nile Hall at Hotel Africana. The purpose of the event was intended to unveil the New HIV solution and to raise funds needed to expand the mentorship program activities for 2007-2008 within Uganda.
GUESTS
The event targeted individuals from the corporate organizations, members of parliament, ambassadors, Non-Governmental Organizations and Government institutions. Approximately 600 people attended the dinner including five of our International partners from the United States of America; Pastor and Mrs. Charles E. Wallace from Oasis Christian Church, Reverend David Joseph Rhodes, Deacon Jim Tomkins, Mr. Darrow Lathan and Reverend Eric Von Aspern all from Louisiana State.
ENTERTAINMENT
The guests were treated to a live concert by renowned Ugandan music artists that included Angella Katatumba, Isaiah Katumwa and the G3U. These three artists have shown a heart for and are involved with the disadvantaged people, most especially children.
NEW HIV SOLUTION
THE Founder and President of SAS Projects Dr. Robert Muhumuza presented the New HIV strategy;
ABC + IBES + MENTORSHIP = HIV Eradication
(Abstinence, Be faithful, Condom use) (Immunization By Education Strategy)
Dr. Robert gave a detailed explanation of the strategy and its relevancy to eradicate HIV. He appealed to the guests and government for support to the Foundation and to fundraise to save the children of Uganda through the strategy.
GUEST OF HONOR
The Guest of Honor, His Excellency the Vice President of Uganda Prof. Gilbert Bukenya was represented by Ambassador James Baba. In his speech the Vice President commended SAS Foundation for its contribution in the fight against HIV and pledged government support to the Foundation and presented cash contribution of Ug shs. 500,000 from the Vice President and also gave in his of Ug sh. 100,000.
CONTRIBUTIONS
The dinner raised a grand total of Ug sh. 12,590,000 in cash and pledges. Some of the guests have pledged their financial commitment on a monthly basis to SAS Foundation for a year in support of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

SAS Foundation takes the pleasure to thank Microcare Health Ltd for their contribution of Ug sh. 1,000,000 (One million Uganda Shillings) towards the event and Hotel Africana for the hall, dinner and accommodation to our International partners at subsidized costs.
FISHNEXT GROUP SERVICES
FISHNEXT group was contracted to coordinate event suppliers and to manage the fundraiser in regards to the stage, presentations, sound, lighting and ushering. The group selected and designed branded materials that were given to the guests during the event.
CONCLUSION
SAS Foundation aimed at utilizing this first annual fundraising drive as an opportunity to establish a SAS family within the corporate world through the creation of an environment that will help catch their attention and henceforth make them understand the new solution designed to eradicate HIV/AIDS.
